On July 1, Russian Design Contest «Fashion Code» was launched with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund, Moscow Fashion Week and Star Project, aimed at identifying, training and supporting talented designers aged 18-45 from different regions of Russia.
Within the framework of the competition, participants will not only pass tests, but also have the opportunity to communicate with top experts and teachers of the fashion industry, such as Tim Ilyasov, Anna Rykova, Yulia Seregina, Vasily Volchok-Rusakovich and many others.
From August 9 to August 29, participants will receive an online educational course supported by the British Higher School of Art and Design. The webinars will be broadcast live, but the recordings will be available in personal accounts on the official website of the competition throughout the project, so you can watch them at any convenient time. This is a new, maximally mobile approach to training that does not detract from the quality of the product.
As a result of the certification, 10 semi-finalists will be selected, who will go to the Media Fashion House - a socially active media house, where within a month participants will create their collections for the final, as well as engage in self-promotion or promotion of their brand on social networks, daily fulfilling the media plan designed by experts. The participants will be assisted by a professional team of seamstresses, designers and technologists with the support of the Russian State University. A.N. Kosygin.
The final of the competition will take place at Moscow Fashion Week, where each of the 10 finalists will present 5 full-fledged looks as part of a general show.
The winner will have the opportunity to sew a full-fledged collection and show it at Moscow Fashion Week in the spring of 2022 with a turnkey implementation. The winner of the second place will receive a certificate for a refresher course in one of the prestigious Moscow universities, and the winner of the third place will receive a certificate for the purchase of fabrics and professional equipment.
