The world's largest exhibition - EXPO - has been held since 1851 and is the largest demonstration site for scientific discoveries and achievements, uniting more than 100 participant countries. EXPO’s Attention is always directed to the actual problems of society. The theme of EXPO 2017 - "Energy of the Future" - is aimed at attracting the best world energy saving technologies, new developments and technologies for using existing alternative energy sources.
The 2017 event takes place in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the city of Astana. STAR PROJECT was invited to implement a large-scale unique project at the highest level. Our team organized a grand, technically complex multimedia presentation in a very short period of time to hold this truly memorable opening ceremony.
The theme of the exhibition "Energy of the Future" was perfectly implemented by a multimedia performance with the maximum immersion effect. The show script is based on the history of Energy as a pristine force, from the birth of the universe to modern fantasies about its future embodiment. To show a worthy opening ceremony to millions of excited spectators, STAR PROJECT assembled a team of 500 specialists of all necessary profiles and created 3D multimedia effects with the full immersion effect. Due to a competent combination of light and sound effects, modern high technologies and effective choreography, it became possible to create a real extravaganza of emotions and unforgettable sensations. The "Parade of the Planets", implemented with the help of a dozen drones, was one of the special parts of the performance. In addition, the scenery and robotized elements were fully synchronized with the actions of 300 artists.
Famous composer Alexander Knyazev wrote unique soundtracks for EXPO 2017. The multimillion audience watched the opening ceremony, including TV viewers from around the world, that’s why all multimedia effects were designed for TV broadcasting, thus the event did not lose its visual appeal even on the TV screen. The Star Project team included prominent highly qualified specialists from Europe and Russia, such as: André Verleger – the author of the idea, Tarmo Krimm - Technical producer, Vyacheslav Kulaev – Production Director, Borislav Volodin - General Producer.
